GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

As the name suggests, the GE Profile series is geared towards the consumer who wants to incorporate cutting-edge features into their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator costs a premium, I expect better.

Apart from that minor flaw, this fridge is a great option. It has a huge freezer compartment which is uncommon for counter-depth French-door refrigerators. It also has a large capacity for frozen food, which is a big difference from other models.

The fridge has 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about par for the size of a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It has a decent sized icemaker in the left door. But it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments for the perfect storage solution. The GE PYE22PYNFS's design for the interior is stylish, too. The LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins have an additional shelf that can fold down to allow you to store items that are tall. The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to open and close however I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support, and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and offers numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when the fridge or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill which is an option that is available in a few other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. It does have an indicator on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and has dual compressors to ensure maximum food preservation. The ice maker is one of the top we've tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice that is low in use of water. This refrigerator is a great choice for single household or kitchenettes who want an integrated look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was rated the best in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, achieving the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch is known for its top-of-the-line appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app allows you to monitor and control the refrigerator remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, however it has excellent features and functionality for the cost.

It is important to know the limitations of your fridge. It has a limited shelf space, which means you may need to be creative when storing tall objects. Also the shelves aren't completely sprillproof, and can easily be damaged or stained by sharp objects. It is easy to take out the trays in the fridge, but be sure to keep them clean to avoid mold growth.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth refrigerator is a great choice for those who require a lot of space in the space of a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features an ordinary French door layout, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set of crisper drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more space. You'll also find a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker, making it simple to transfer frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also comes with clever design features, such as sliding drawers that help you organize your items. It comes with a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate container for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a simple method to keep track of your refrigerator and control it, particularly when you're away from home.

The doors pose a problem with this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken at the front, which allows shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, however they're still difficult for taller people to guide closed without slamming the doors. It would have been better if they had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with an efficient layout. It has a capacity that is higher than average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a French-door fridge that won't break the budget. It's a basic design that isn't as striking visually as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a solid choice. Its most significant feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you direct the majority of the refrigerator's cooling power to this area, so it can be used to store food items which need extra attention. You can adjust this feature using a slider that's located right outside of the drawer. You can also use this feature to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge, however, I've found that changing the general settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

In my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray much from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a good performance but isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey body that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does an excellent job of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared with glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
